Baseball Game Preview: New Hope-Solebury Lions vs. Upper Moreland Bears

For the second straight game, New Hope-Solebury will face off against Upper Moreland. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

New Hope-Solebury is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Upper Moreland on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The Lions have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for New Hope-Solebury, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. New Hope-Solebury has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game.
