Soccer Game Preview: Framingham vs. Wellesley

The Framingham Flyers will head out to take on the Wellesley Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Framingham's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Framingham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Natick, who was ranked 17th at the time (Framingham was ranked ninth). The Flyers fell just short of the Redhawks by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Framingham couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Wellesley entered their tilt with Newton North on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tigers.

Framingham's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2-8. As for Wellesley, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-3.
