Football Game Preview: Hay Springs vs. Minatare

Hay Springs won against South Platte three weeks ago with 45 points, and Hay Springs decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Hay Springs enjoyed a cozy 45-26 win over Cody-Kilgore. Senior Trent Reed, who rushed for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Hay Springs's success.

In almost any game, 50 points would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Minatare made easy work of South Platte and carried off a 74-50 victory. That looming 24-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Minatare yet.

Hay Springs were able to grind out a solid win over Minatare the last time the two teams met, winning 54-46. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
