Basketball Recap: Clinton Central Comes Up Short

Clinton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by the Clinton Prairie Gophers 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Gophers are ranked 113th).

Clinton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Clinton Prairie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Clinton Central will challenge Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clinton Prairie, they will head out on the road to square off against Western at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton Prairie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
