Basketball Recap: Summerfield Waldorf Starts off Right with Win over Geyserville

Summerfield Waldorf gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 48-23 margin over the Geyserville Bronchos. The Mustangs pushed the score to 42-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bronchos cut but never quite recovered from.

Summerfield Waldorf can attribute much of their success to Liam Gannon, who posted 22 points. Cash Yates was another key player, putting up seven points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Summerfield Waldorf will head out to challenge Roseland University Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Geyserville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 18.
