Volleyball Recap: Brooke Holubek Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk

While Schalmont's victory against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Sabres won by a set and slipped past the Ravens 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Sabres in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won six in a row.

Schalmont was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 24-26, 20-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Schalmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Holubek, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave Holubek a new career-high.

Schalmont now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
