Baseball Recap: Holland Takes a Loss

Holland fell victim to Rosebud-Lott and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Holland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavan Brummett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Holland's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-15. As for Rosebud-Lott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5-1.

Coming up, Holland is taking a road trip to challenge Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granger has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something Holland will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rosebud-Lott, they will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
