Basketball Recap: Sunset Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunset). They managed a 39-35 win over the South Miami Cobras on Monday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cobras, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunset to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andreina Perez, who posted 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Gleidy Flores was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Sunset's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9. As for South Miami, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Sunset wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-18 loss against Immaculata-La Salle on the 14th. South Miami has also already played their next match (against Coral Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
