Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Durham Triumphs + How To Watch

The Riverside-Durham Pirates were able to grind out a solid win over the Eastern Alamance Eagles on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (92-86) Riverside-Durham actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 11-25, 25-21.

Nureen Khan was her usual excellent self, getting 36 digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high. Liesl Rehder was another key player, getting ten assists and four digs.

Eastern Alamance's loss came despite strong showings from Gracie Jenkins and Bailey Blalock. Jenkins had 12 digs and two assists, while Blalock had 11 digs and two aces. Jenkins is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Riverside-Durham's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Eastern Alamance, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Riverside-Durham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against St. Mary's on the 25th. Eastern Alamance has also already played their next game (against Eastern Guilford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
