Basketball Recap: Patrick Weaving's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakeview over Lewis Mills

Lakeview lost against Lewis Mills back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lakeview Warriors took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lewis Mills Spartans. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Patrick Weaving, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Weaving is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Joe Sepples was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, Lakeview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lewis Mills, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Lakeview and Farmington will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lewis Mills, they will face off against Granby Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
