Softball Recap: Glasgow Scotties vs. Barren County Trojans

Glasgow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Barren County Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Glasgow of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Jakylie Green made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

On Barren County's side, Chloe Witcher spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
