Baseball Game Preview: Gladstone Gladiators vs. Crook County Cowboys

The Gladstone Gladiators are taking a road trip to square off against the Crook County Cowboys on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Gladstone and Molalla had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Gladiators came up short against the Indians on Wednesday, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gladiators have suffered since April 24th.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Crook County and Madras, and Madras kept the tradition alive. The Cowboys took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White Buffaloes on Wednesday.

Crook County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Gladstone, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Everything went Gladstone's way against Crook County when the teams last played last Monday, as Gladstone made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gladiators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
