Baseball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Archbishop Hoban ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Steele Comets 3-1. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 win the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Archbishop Hoban has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Steele, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Hoban will challenge Medina at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Battling Bees will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
