KIPP Atlanta Collegiate extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Jayvon Johnson. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors enjoyed a cozy 63-47 victory over the Lovett Lions on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 22 points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Contrail KitChens, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Casani Bartlett, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Bartlett has posted since back in February of 2024. Daniel Gadsden was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight boards.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for Lovett, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovett, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lovett is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.
