Baseball Recap: American Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for American's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Irvington Vikings on Wednesday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

American saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Hsiao, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Kartik Valasa also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

American's record is now 1-9. As for Irvington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

While American had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
