Softball Game Preview: Palestine Wildcats vs. Hudson Hornets

For the second straight game, Palestine will face off against Hudson. The Wildcats will square off against the Hornets at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Palestine has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Palestine lost 21-1 to Hudson on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Palestine saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Hughes, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Hudson has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palestine, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
