Basketball Recap: South Plantation Takes a Loss

South Plantation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cypress Bay Lightning, falling 53-27. While losing is never fun, the Paladins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Lightning are ranked 61st).

South Plantation's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Cypress Bay, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

South Plantation will welcome Deerfield Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deerfield Beach will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South Plantation surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cypress Bay, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blanche Ely at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Blanche Ely's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Cypress Bay's offense will have their work cut out for them.
