Volleyball Recap: Columbia Victorious + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Columbia faced off against Caldwell on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 10th.

Columbia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Alera Gibson paced Columbia's offense, picking up 18 kills. Gibson got some help from Allison Pruett and her 34 assists. Gibson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Camilla Bengoa, each putting up three.

Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Caldwell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Columbia and Caldwell will both be playing Middleton the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
