Softball Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Vernon Hills Cougars. If the Scouts were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Cougars when the teams met back in March of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Vernon Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-17.

Coincidentally, Lake Forest and Vernon Hills will both be playing Stevenson the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Patriots at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Scouts will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
