Softball Recap: Los Gatos Wildcats vs. Wilcox Chargers

While Los Gatos's victory against Wilcox wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats beat the Chargers on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-4. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won five in a row.

Ava Norquist spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Olivia Sickels was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Annika Norquist also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Los Gatos lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
