Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Dubois Jeeps vs. Wood Memorial Trojans

The Northeast Dubois Jeeps and the Wood Memorial Trojans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Northeast Dubois is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Evansville Day 70-36. The Jeeps have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wood Memorial beat Springs Valley 69-60 on Friday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Blackhawks are ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wood Memorial's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Northeast Dubois, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Northeast Dubois came out on top in a nail-biter against Wood Memorial in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 59-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northeast Dubois since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
