Basketball Recap: Seabreeze Comes Up Short

Seabreeze saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Cocoa Tigers. The Sandcrabs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Seabreeze still got an impressive performance from Reece Casto, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Casto a new career-high in points. Jayden Dixon was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.

Seabreeze's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cocoa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Seabreeze wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-41 loss against Treasure Coast on the 27th. As for Cocoa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-44 defeat against Mainland on the 27th.
