Softball Recap: Mesquite Takes a Loss

Mesquite lost against Marcos de Niza back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Mesquite fell 7-3 to Marcos de Niza. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Olivia Romans was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Marcos de Niza, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Mesquite will take on Higley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marcos de Niza, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thunderbird at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
