Wayne Trace skates past Continental with ease

You can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Wayne Trace Raiders's strategy against the Continental Pirates on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wayne Trace blew Continental out of the water with a 50-14 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-7.

Despite the loss, Continental had strong showings from Olivia Crossgrove, who dropped a double-double on 14 rebounds and ten blocks, and Morgan Shock, who scored three points. Crossgrove has been hot recently, having posted five or more blocks the last four times she's played.

Wayne Trace's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Continental, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.

Wayne Trace will be playing at home against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wayne Trace will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Crestview is ranked 42nd). As for Continental, they will head out on the road to take on Montpelier at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Continental is coming into the game with 13 straight defeats on the road, meaning Montpelier will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
