Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Warriors vs. Shawnee Braves

Northwestern hasn't had much luck against Shawnee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Saturday, Northwestern came up short against Emmanuel Christian Academy and fell 53-46.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anthony Thomas, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Kobe Southard was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Shawnee suffered their biggest loss since January 21st on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Valley View and fell 67-36.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Northwestern couldn't quite get it done against Shawnee in their previous meeting back in January as they fell 51-43. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
