Basketball Game Preview: Tonasket Tigers vs. Lake Roosevelt Raiders

Tonasket hasn't had much luck against Lake Roosevelt recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tonasket Tigers will head out to take on the Lake Roosevelt Raiders at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Tonasket's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

If Tonasket beats Lake Roosevelt with 69 points on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Tonasket enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over Manson on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Tonasket's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Tompkins, who went 6 of 13 to rack up 18 points. The contest was Tompkins' fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradon Prock, who went 8 for 12 en route to 18 points and five boards.

Chelan typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Lake Roosevelt proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Mountain Goats with a 53-47 win.

Tonasket's record now sits at 14-9. As for Lake Roosevelt, their record now sits at 18-3.
