Baseball Game Preview: Canby Cougars vs. Lebanon Warriors

The Canby Cougars will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Lebanon Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Canby saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Putnam. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Lebanon put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Cascade by a score of 5-2.

Austin Turnidge was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Lebanon's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.5 runs this season. As for Canby, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Canby beat Lebanon 4-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canby since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
