Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Eaglecrest couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to Littleton Public Schools on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Raptors in their meetings with Littleton Public Schools: they've now lost five in a row.

Eaglecrest's offense was headlined by Jackson Shaw and Ashton Bond, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Dillan Ancheta and his 16 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Eaglecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Littleton Public Schools, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1.

Eaglecrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Grandview on the 10th. Hopefully Littleton Public Schools paid attention to Eaglecrest's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Eaglecrest at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
