Baseball Recap: Alexandria Comes Up Short

After flying high against Detroit Lakes on Friday, Alexandria came back down to earth. The Cardinals took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sabres apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Alexandria's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexandria will venture away from home to square off against Sauk Rapids-Rice at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they will head out to take on St. Michael-Albertville at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
