Basketball Game Preview: Mount Airy Granite Bears vs. North Stokes Vikings

The Mount Airy Granite Bears will venture away from home to take on the North Stokes Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mount Airy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Mount Airy turned things around against Starmount on Friday. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 64-40 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Granite Bears have posted since December 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, North Stokes suffered their closest defeat since November 29, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Alleghany by a score of 61-58.

Mount Airy's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-10. As for North Stokes, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Mount Airy was able to grind out a solid win over North Stokes in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 57-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Airy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
