Volleyball Recap: Stoughton Black Knights vs. Brockton Boxers
Stoughton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Brockton Boxers by a score of 3-2. Stoughton took Brockton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-28, 19-25, 25-13, 15-11.
When it comes to explaining why Stoughton lost, don't look at Amy Nguyen. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and three aces. Nguyen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Stoughton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.
