Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 51-43 to the Galion Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-47 back in December of 2024.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Galion, they pushed their record up to 6-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Highland will take on River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Highland likes a good challenge. As for Galion, they will square off against Pleasant at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
