St. Augustine entered their tilt with Mandarin on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 38-26 win over the Mandarin Mustangs. St. Augustine's victory was all the more impressive since the Mustangs were averaging only 13.8 points allowed on the season.

St. Augustine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trendell Anderson led the charge by rushing for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 188 rushing yards gave Anderson a new career-high. Trenton Jones did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 88 receiving yards.

Mandarin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Deion Winstead, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Jaime Ffrench Jr was another key player, picking up 140 receiving yards and a touchdown.

St. Augustine's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Mandarin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
