Baseball Recap: Lincoln Charter Comes Up Short

Lincoln Charter fell victim to Lake Norman Charter and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lincoln Charter got a good showing from Rucker McCall, who struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McCall has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Lincoln Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
