Preview: Veritas Academy Monarch vs. Coventry Christian
The Veritas Academy Monarch will head out on the road to face off against Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Veritas Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They slipped by Lititz Christian 59-58. The victory was just what Veritas Academy needed coming off of a 64-34 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Coventry Christian, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They took a serious blow against Linville Hill on Tuesday, falling 87-55. While losing is never fun, Coventry Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while Linville Hill is ranked 134th).
Veritas Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Coventry Christian, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
