Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Roosevelt's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Roosevelt had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They managed a 67-63 win over the Eastern Ramblers on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-52 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriel Hudgens, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 20 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Hudgens is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Another player making a difference was De'Marean Frazier, who went 8-for-10 to rack up 22 points.

Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Coming up, Roosevelt will square off against Jackson-Reed at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Jackson-Reed has won eight straight at home, while Roosevelt won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
