The North Central Wolfpack will square off against the West Valley Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past East Valley 15-8 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolfpack.
Nicholas Elliott was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Central is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-10 otherwise. Elliott was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, North Central let Tavish Carruthers and Henry Ferguson run wild. Carruthers went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Ferguson went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Ferguson has become a key player for North Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 4-11 otherwise.
North Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Valley only managed two.
Meanwhile, West Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Deer Park on Wednesday, taking the game 9-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Stags recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Scout Symmes made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hewson Spencer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Ollie Spencer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
North Central's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for West Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
