Soccer Recap: Galesburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Canton last Saturday, Galesburg came back down to earth. Galesburg lost 4-0 to the Alleman Pioneers on Tuesday. If Galesburg were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Alleman when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Galesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Alleman, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Galesburg will be playing at home against East Peoria at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Galesburg will be up against East Peoria's rather soft defense (which has allowed six goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alleman, they will take on Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
