Volleyball Recap: Sibley East's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Sibley East had to endure a 22-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Blue Earth Buccaneers on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Sibley East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-11.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-22. As for Blue Earth, they dropped their record down to 2-23-2 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sibley East will face off against Southwest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Blue Earth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
