Football Recap: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Independence Knights
On Thursday, the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers didn't have too much trouble with the Independence Knights on the road as they won 36-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trail Blazers.
Hudson Eidem was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lebanon Trail was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only rushed for 142.
Lebanon Trail's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Orion Jenkins and Khemon Ball.
Logan Murindagomo and Mckenzie West certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. MurindagoMo rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while West picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Lebanon Trail's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Independence, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Lebanon Trail's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Denison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
