Basketball Game Preview: Old Mill Patriots vs. Glen Burnie Gophers

The Old Mill Patriots will square off against the Glen Burnie Gophers on Tuesday. Old Mill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Glen Burnie likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Old Mill greeted the New Year with with a 66-51 win over Northeast.

Meanwhile, Glen Burnie waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Bruins.

Old Mill's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Glen Burnie, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Old Mill was able to grind out a solid win over Glen Burnie in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 67-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Old Mill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
