Football Game Preview: Chapel Hill Bulldogs vs. Palestine Wildcats

The Chapel Hill Bulldogs will challenge the Palestine Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chapel Hill is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Lindale on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs were beaten by the Eagles 64-28. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Palestine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-31 loss at the hands of Henderson. On the bright side, the 31- point performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring game to date.

Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Chapel Hill has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 175 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Palestine, though, as they've been averaging only 77 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Chapel Hill against Palestine in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 28-0 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
