Tri-Valley entered their tilt with Heyworth on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Heyworth Hornets with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Hornets are ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Heyworth, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.
