Baseball Game Preview: Moundridge Wildcats vs. Inman Inman Teutons

The Moundridge Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Inman Inman Teutons on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Moundridge was handed a eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillsboro, sneaking past 8-6.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Inman and Canton-Galva, and Inman kept the tradition alive. The Inman Teutons didn't even let the Eagles on the board on Tuesday, marking the Inman Teutons' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Inman Teutons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

Inman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Moundridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Moundridge took their victory against Inman in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
