Basketball Recap: Mt. Baker Takes a Loss

Mt. Baker lost against Squalicum back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mt. Baker Mountaineers took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Squalicum Storm.

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Squalicum, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Mt. Baker will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lynden Christian at 7:15 p.m. Lynden Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Mt. Baker likes a good challenge. As for Squalicum, they will head out to square off against Mount Vernon at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Squalicum is facing Mount Vernon at the right time seeing as Mount Vernon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
