Volleyball Recap: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers vs. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan
After flying high against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter on Tuesday, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier came back down to earth. The Rangers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Medina/Pingree-Buchanan on Thursday. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Medina/Pingree-Buchanan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.
Elli Lloyd paced Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier's offense, picking up 19 kills. Lloyd got some help from Mazie Tjernlund and her 35 assists. Kalyn Klusmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
