Basketball Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. New Trier Trevians

For the first time this season, Evanston will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the New Trier Trevians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evanston will be strutting in after a win while New Trier will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Evanston beat Hillcrest 62-52.

Meanwhile, New Trier suffered their biggest defeat since January 4th on Wednesday. They were beaten by Loyola Academy 59-32. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Trevians' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

This is the second loss in a row for New Trier and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Evanston, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Evanston came up short against New Trier in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-57. Can the Wildkits avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
