Baseball Recap: Fraser Has No Trouble Against L'anse Creuse

Fraser barely beat L'Anse Creuse the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ramblers were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Lancers on Tuesday. The Ramblers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Jack Manzella made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Ben Essian was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Frankie Cross, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Fraser hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Fraser's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for L'Anse Creuse, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Fraser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
