Baseball Recap: Timberland Takes a Loss

Timberland had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-15 to make it 12. They fell just short of the Woodland Wolverines by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Nicholas Gabel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 4-13. They haven't had any issues with Timberland recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

On Woodland's side, the team relied heavily on Mac Milligan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was Milligan's first of the season. Dayton Cloer was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Timberland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-3 defeat against Academic Magnet on the 28th. As for Woodland, they have also already played their next game, a 14-6 win against Hampton County on the 28th.
