Softball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Marlboro County took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Georgetown. Marlboro County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marlboro County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Ivey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Marlboro County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Georgetown, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Marlboro County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 loss against Waccamaw on the 25th. As for Georgetown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-7 defeat against Loris on the 25th.
